| CANADA - Some recommended holidays | |
| Incredible Canada covers a vast area of land (it is the second largest single country on earth) and the distances between regions are considerable. The landscape is diverse ranging from the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence River and Niagara Falls in the south-east, to the stunning Rocky Mountains in the west, vast wheatlands in the central area and Arctic tundra in the north. Whatever the area, the scenery is invariably magnificent. Due to the sheer size of Canada it is probably sensible to concentrate on a particular region, or fly between centres. | ![]() |

Driving
in Canada could not be simpler. The roads are well maintained,
clearly sign-posted and much wider than in Britain. Driving is on
the right hand side, with a speed limit of 55kms/34 miles per hour in
built up areas and 110kms/68 miles per hour on the highways. These
carefully planned self-drive itineraries ensure that you do not spend
too much time driving, yet still see the real highlights of the areas
you are visiting. All the tours featured take the stress out of having to plan your routings each day. Armed with your daily driving instructions, your automatic hire car and all your hotels pre-booked, driving becomes fun, easy and enjoyable. This will allow you more time to enjoy the spectacular scenery that surrounds you. |
| CAR HIRE In all the self-drive itineraries featured, an Intermediate car is included. The car is fully inclusive of unlimited mileage, LDW, up to one million dollar third party liability insurance, airport taxes and all state and provincial taxes, where applicable. We have selected a car type which we believe would be suitable for the amount of travelling involved. However should you wish to up-grade to a larger vehicle, for a supplement, we would be happy to assist you. |
