DAY 1 (Mon): Fly from London Gatwick on Astraeus Airlines to Luxor and transfer to Sheraton Luxor for overnight (B)
DAY 2 (Tue): Transfer by road to Aswan and the Elephantine Island Resort for 1 night (B)
DAY 3 (Wed): Embark on the Nile Beauty in time for lunch. In the afternoon visit the High Dam, unfinished obelisk and the Phitone Temple. Overnight at Aswan (L,D). The Nile Beauty (1983) has recently been refurbished, is air-conditioned and all 52 cabins have fridge, TV, private shower & WC.   Boat has plunge pool & sundeck, dining room, lounge, 2 bars, gift shop, hairdresser.
DAY 4 (Thu): This morning enjoy a felucca sail on the Nile. After lunch sail to Kom Ombo visiting the temple before continuing to Edfu for overnight (B,L,D).
DAY 5 (Fri): An early morning visit to Edfu Temple before continuing to Esna, passing through the lock before sailing onto Luxor for overnight (B,L,D)
DAY 6 (Sat): The morning is at leisure. After lunch visit the temples of Luxor and Karnack. Overnight Luxor (B,L,D)
DAY 7 (Sun): After an early check out and breakfast, visit the West Bank. Later transfer to Sheraton Luxor for 1 night (B)
DAY 8 (Mon): Astraeus Airlines flight back to London Gatwick arriving the same day

DAY 1 (Sat): Fly from London Heathrow to Amman with Royal Jordanian Airlines and transfer to Crowne Plaza Amra Amman Hotel for 3 nights
DAYS 2-3 (Sun-Mon): Two days to explore this spacious city. Enjoy a full day tour to the well preserved Graeco-Roman city of Jerash (the 'Pompei of the East'), built over 2000 years ago - lunch is included (B,D)
DAY 4 (Tue) Drive along the ancient Kings Way to Petra, visiting en-route Mt Nebo (where Moses first saw the Holy Land) for a spectacular view of the Jordan Valley. Continue to Madaba with its Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land. Then on to the 12th century Crusader castle of Kerak. where lunch is included. Continue to Petra and stay 2 nights at Crowne Plaza Resort Petra (B,D)
DAY 5 (Wed). A half day excursion tour of Petra, the 'rose-red' city carved from sandstone hills over 2000 years ago by Nabataean Arabs then 'lost' for 500 years when trading routes changed and later rediscovered in 1812. (B,D)
DAY 6 (Thu) Drive south following in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia to spectacular scenery at Wadi Rum. Wind-sculpted hills rise above the desert flats and overlook the old camel trading routes from the East. Continue to Aqaba for a 2 night stay at the Aqaba Gulf Hotel, a short walks away from the Red Sea (B,D)
DAY 7 (Fri). A day at leisure to enjoy the Red Sea or perhaps take an optional boat tour. Facilities at the medium class hotel include restaurant, bar, pool, tennis court and 200 air-conditioned rooms with bath, shower, phone and TV. It is also possible to extend your stay at Aqaba by 3 nights (B,D)
DAY 8 (Sat) Morning transfer to the airport to fly with Royal Jordanian, via Amman, to London Heathrow (B)
