ISTRON BAY HOTEL, Crete (First Class/Superior). Ref.PR20

Set above a 600 metre long beach in the Gulf of Mirabello on the north east coast of the largest & southernmost of the Greek islands. A tranquil haven but with an excellent range of facilities so that you can be as relaxed or as active as you wish. 145 rooms, all air-conditioned and with sea-view, ranging from standard to suites - we particularly recommend the superior rooms. Has delightful gardens, large pool, 2 restaurants plus pool bistro & beach taverna, 2 bars, disco, evening entertainment, tennis court, watersports available. Aniiquities of Knossos, the Heraklion Museum, Gournia and Mallia are all easily accessible by car or bus as well as the palm beach of Vai. Originally a private residence which has been transformed into a stylish hotel which evokes a club-like ambience. Beautifully positioned on a long, sandy beach at Marbella, about 40 mins drive from Malaga (private return taxi transfers are

Located on the beach at Playa Blanca on this exotic Canary Island, this lovely hotel opened in 2002 and has already established itself as a favorite for discerning clients of The Faraway Traveller. Has 330 spacious rooms, many of which are suites. The V-shaped style of the hotel means all rooms have a sideways seaview. A wide range of leisure activities include 2 floodlit tennis courts, 2 squash courts and 2 pools (one seawater and one freshwater). Guests can also use the gym of sister hotel the Royal Son Bou. In the best position in Baia Sardinia, this charming hotel is set directly above the sea with a lovely sandy beach below. The spacious terraces and the seawater pool enjoy magnificent sea views. The open air restaurant terrace is a particularly attractive feature. Has 57 rooms (supplements apply for upgrades to rooms with balcony, sea view and air-conditioning). Although the hotel is only a few minutes walk from the resort centre, its position at the end of the beach gives a pleasant feeling of seclusion. A hire car is included in the price.

Magnificent views out to sea from most rooms and the public areas are a feature of this stylish hotel which is set on a hillside above Kalamar Bay, approx. 5 minutes drive from the picturesque harbour town of Kalkan (the hotel operates a courtesy shuttle service 5 times daily) The large pool is set on an extensive terrace whilst the attractive restaurant has an indoor and outdoor section. The well equipped rooms all have air-conditioning. Transfers by coach or minibus from Dalyon airport take about 2 hours 30 minutes
